Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Overview

The program Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is one of the courses offered in Bicol Universitiy College of Science. It lasts for four years, shaping students into competitive computer scientists capable of reaching global industry standards. The course specializes in programming, mathematics, and physics which will equip the students the necessary skills for the everchanging world of computing.

Program Outcomes

  1. Utilize concepts and theories of computing, algorithmic foundation and apply new developments in computing.
  2. Develop algorithmically complex software and effective algorithms for solving computing problems.
  3. Acquire the skills and the discipline required for designing, writing, and modifying software components, modules, and applications that comprise software solutions.
  4. Apply the basic cultural, social, legal, and ethical practices inherent in the discipline of computing.
  5. Engage the life-long learning to adapt to innovations and change in order to be successful.

ACCeSS: Academic Consortium of Computer Science Students

It is the official college-based organization of the BSCS course in Bicol University. It considers itself as a non-profit and non-political website as of 2023. It is formed by the efforts of graduating BSCS students of batch 2015-2016. The result is an organization made for and only for BSCS students.

Mission

The Academic Consortium of Computer Science Students shall promote the sustainable development of Computer Science in Bicol University.

Vision

ACCeSS members will be empowered to build comprehensive networks and prepare for the future through meaningful experiences.
